Bennett Joseph Savage is an actor from the United States, who was born on September 13, 1980[citation needed]. On the ABC sitcom Boy Meets World (1993–2000) and its Disney Channel sequel Girl Meets World (2014–2017), he played Cory Matthews, the main character. Savage made his cinematic debut at the age of nine in his older brother Fred Savage’s Little Monsters (1989), and went on to star in the feature films Big Girls Don’t Cry.

They Get Even (1992) and Clifford (1994), both starring Martin Short. The Laughter Epidemic at the Pasadena Playhouse was Savage’s first appearance on stage. In the season three episode “The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre,” he guest featured as a cupid-like figure named Curtis Hartsell on his brother Fred’s TV series The Wonder Years.

On the comedic series Dear John, he played Matthew, the son of Judd Hirsch’s character (1988). Then, in A Family For Joe, he played one of a group of orphans who deceive Robert Mitchum into acting as their guardian (NBC, 1990).

Ben is best known for his role as Cory Matthews on the classic television show Boy Meets World, which he starred in from 1993 until 2000. Fred Savage, Savage’s brother, guest starred as a lecherous college professor pursuing Cory’s fiancée in an episode of Boy Meets World with him. Fred directed his brother and the cast of Boy Meets World in the following season’s episode “Family Trees,” in which Shawn (Rider Strong) realises that the lady who raised him is not his biological mother.

Ben has also appeared in a number of television movies, including Lindsay Wagner’s She Woke Up (1992) and McDonald’s Family Theatre Presents: Aliens for Breakfast (1995), in which he plays a young teen whose breakfast cereal figure comes to life.In the ABC Event Series Wild Palms, Savage played “Coty Wyckoff,” an angel-faced youngster with a killer’s soul (1993).

In May 1998, Savage gained critical acclaim for his performance as “Roddy Stern” in Israel Horovitz’s rarely seen play Unexpected Tenderness at the Marilyn Monroe Theater, which he won a Tony Award for. For his performance, he was given an Ovation Award. [In 2002, Savage starred in the film Swimming Upstream as the best friend of a terminally ill pal, who was slightly immature but incredibly helpful.

Savage was born in Chicago, Illinois, to industrial real estate broker and consultant Joanne and Lewis Savage (1946–2015). Fred Savage, an actor and director, is his older brother, and Kala Savage, an actress and musician, is his older sister. Savage was reared in Reform Judaism, and his grandparents came from Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Latvia.

Savage took a three-year hiatus from acting in films and television, but he returned in a guest role in Still Standing as Seth Cosella, Bill Miller’s supervisor. He also guest starred as himself in an episode of the Disney Channel original series Phil of the Future in the same year, playing Ford Davis in the independent feature Car Babes, which was shot on site in Los Gatos, California.

He

made his acting debut in the critically praised independent film Palo Alto in 2006, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2007.He played murder suspect ‘Kirby Morris’ in an episode of Without a Trace in 2008, as well as Mark Ratner in an episode of the NBC series Chuck. He made an appearance on Fox’s Bones in an episode in 2011. In addition, he appeared as Andy Burns in the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up.

Savage announced his signing to the Boy Meets World spin-off series, Girl Meets World, via his Twitter account in November 2012. The sitcom launched on Disney Channel on June 27, 2014, and follows Cory, played by Savage, and his Boy Meets World love interest Topanga (Danielle Fishel), who are married with two children in their adult years. Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Cory and Topanga’s daughter, enters middle school and tries to figure out what she wants to do with her life.

In this series, Cory is Riley’s father as well as her history teacher; in addition to his on-screen role, Savage directed some episodes. On January 5, 2017, the show was cancelled after three seasons, with the last episode airing on January 20. On three instances, Savage has appeared in flashback scenes as younger versions of Mandy Patinkin’s characters. Criminal Minds airs in 2015 and 2020, and Homeland airs in 2020.

In 2022, Savage was cast in Lifetime’s “Ripped from the Headlines” feature film Girl in the Shed: The Kidnapping of Abby Hernandez, in which he played Nathaniel Kibby. In 2003, as part of his studies at Stanford University, Savage interned for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA at the time)

In the film The Wonder Years, his brother played a role. Ben Savage, who was born in Chicago, Illinois, isn’t the first kid of Joanne and Lewis Savage to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. You may recognise his brother, actor/director Fred Savage, from the coming-of-age comedy-drama The Wonder Years from the late 1980s/early 1990s.

For his depiction of Kevin Arnold, Fred garnered two Golden Globe awards and two Emmy nominations (the youngest ever actor to be nominated). When The Wonder Years concluded in 1993, Fred returned to high school and continued his study at Stanford University. After graduating school, he returned to acting in the NBC sitcom Working, and has since built a successful career as an actor, television host, director, and producer.

The soundtrack to Daddy Day Camp was composed by his sister. While Ben and Fred are the most well-known Savage siblings, Kala, Ben’s older sister, has also worked in the entertainment industry. In addition to appearing in films like Little Monsters, Dead Write, La Cucina, and TV shows like Undressed, Santa Barbara, and 8 Simple Rules, Kala can claim composing honours for the song “Hey Juanita” from the 2007 feature picture Daddy Day Camp.

At the age of nine, he made his movie debut. While it’s not surprising that each of the Savage children pursued a career in the entertainment industry, it’s even more surprising that they all appeared in the same film as children. Kala and Ben first appeared on cinema in 1989 alongside their older brother, Fred (who was already a well-known actor at the time), in the black comedy Little Monsters, starring Fred as 11-year-old Brian Stevenson and Howie Mandel as Maurice, a monster with whom Brian becomes friends.

His best-known role was in the film Boy Meets World. Ben’s first major television role was as Matthew in the comedic sitcom Dear John (1988). Ben’s depiction of Cory Matthews on the hit TV sitcom Boy Meets World established his place in the industry, despite the fact that the part drew him a lot of critical attention. Ben starred in the series from 1993 to 2000, winning numerous awards along the way (including Young Artists Award nominations for Best Youth Actor Leading Role in a Television Series and Best Performance in a TV Comedy: Leading Young Actor, as well as a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Television Friends in 2000).

He was a guest star on the show The Wonder Years. Given their involvement in two of the most successful television shows of the 1990s, it’s hardly surprising that TV executives decided to take advantage of the two shows’ crossover appeal by having each brother pay a quick visit to the other’s show. Ben initially appeared on The Wonder Years in The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, while Fred first appeared on Boy Meets World in the episode “Everybody Loves Stuart” in 1998.

Senator Arlen Specter of the United States employed him as an intern. Ben, like his brother Fred, went to Stanford University, but he majored in Political Science instead of English. Before graduating the next year, he worked as an intern for US Senator Arlen Specter during the summer of 2003.

He came back to play Cory Matthews in 2012. Ben surprised fans when he stated in 2012, 14 years after the final episode of Boy Meets World aired, that he would be reprising his role as Cory Matthews. Two years later, the Disney Channel premiered Girl Meets World, which followed Ben and his Boy Meets World love interest Topanga (Danielle Fishel) as a married couple with two little children. Ben played an active role both behind and in front of the camera on the hit show, directing numerous episodes before it was finally terminated in 2017.

As a volunteer, he helps out at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Over the years, Ben has utilised his celebrity to do good, using it as a platform to raise awareness for some of the topics that he cares about. One of these organisations is the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to the prevention and elimination of HIV and Aids via research, preventive, and treatment programmes. Ben is a regular volunteer at the charity, and he has also donated items to talent agency Rocky Stone as part of his Toy Mountain Campaign.

He worked as a commercial actor for the first few years of his career. Ben’s first job was in a pharmacy chain’s television ad, even though Little Monsters was his first film appearance. Ben was only 5 at the time, but the position was thankfully not too demanding. “It was as simple as sitting in a pool and smiling,” he subsequently told People.

His net worth is estimated to be $12 million. Are you interested in learning more about the advantages of starting a job when you’re five years old? If Celebrity Net Worth is to be believed, it’s a multi-million dollar sum. Thanks to a four-decade career, Ben has a net worth of $12 million.
