Cameron Ocasio (born September 7, 1999) is an American actor who has appeared in shows such as Caught, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Sinister. Supporting cast members include Juliet Rylance, Fred Thompson, James Ransone, Clare Foley, and Michael Hall D’Addario.

 

After seeing the 2002 film The Ring, Cargill had a nightmare that inspired Sinister. With a production budget of $3 million, principal photography on Sinister began in the fall of 2011 in Long Island, New York.The Super 8 parts were shot with actual Super 8 cameras and film stock to add to the authenticity of ancient home movies and snuff films.

The film was made in collaboration between the US, Canada, and the UK.On March 10, 2012, the film had its world premiere at SXSW. It was released on October 5, 2012 in the UK and October 12, 2012 in the US. Sinister garnered mixed reviews, with praise for the acting, direction, music, cinematography, and atmosphere, but criticism for its overuse of jump scares and other horror tropes.

Nickelodeon announced in a commercial that two episodes were still to run after 33 episodes had aired.  Nickelodeon cancelled the series on July 13, 2014, after a three-month production halt, with just 36 episodes out of a 40-episode order completed. The cancellation was ascribed to a pay disagreement between McCurdy and Nickelodeon, an alleged conflict between McCurdy and Grande, the disclosure of sexual photos of McCurdy, Grande’s blossoming music career, and both actresses’ desire to move on to other projects, according to media sites.
