Jones was suspended for the first two games of the 2018 season on July 3, 2018, after he was found to have violated the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. Jones carried the ball six times for 42 yards in a 31–17 loss to the Washington Redskins on September 23, his first game back after serving his suspension from the NFL. The following week, in a 22–0 win over the Buffalo Bills, he had 11 rushes for 65 yards and a score.

The following week, he took over as the starter, though he continued to share carries with Williams and Montgomery. By Week 9, he had accumulated enough runs to be eligible for the NFL leaderboards, and he had risen to the top of the leaderboards in yards-per-rush (6.02). On November 11, he recorded 15 touches for 145 yards and two rushing touchdowns in a 31–12 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 10 of the NFL season.

The following week, in a 24–27 loss to Seattle, he scored his first NFL receiving touchdown as well as a second touchdown on the ground. Against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12, he scored his fifth touchdown in three games en route to a total of 93 yards on the ground. As a result of a knee injury sustained in Week 15, the player was transferred to the injured reserve on December 18, 2018. The 2018 season ended with 728 running yards and eight touchdowns, 26 receptions for 206 receiving yards and one touchdown, and one receiving interception for a total of 728 rushing yards and one touchdown.

Jones was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, 182nd overall. He played defensive back for the Packers. In that year’s draught, he was taken as the 19th running back overall. On May 5, 2017, he was officially signed to a deal.

Jones was cited for a driving violation on November 20, 2017, following an event that occurred on October 1, 2017. Jones was speeding at 79 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone on the day of the incident, and he was in possession of marijuana at the time.

Jones was taken into custody and charged with operating while under the influence of a controlled substance, operating without a valid license, and exceeding the speed limit. Jones entered a no-contest plea to the charges, was fined for court costs, and had his license suspended for six months as a result of the decision.

Jones became one of the most productive players in the history of the UTEP Miners as a result of this. In terms of running yards, he had five of the top 12 games at the school, as well as school records for 17 games with 100 or more yards rushing and five games with 200 or more yards rushing.

The

most rushing yards in a career (4,114), season (1,773; he was also fifth his second year), and lifetime yards per game (117.5) are all held by him, and he has had the second-and sixth-best seasons in school history as a result (147.8 in 2016; 110.1 in 2014). He is second all-time in rushing touchdowns with 33, including seasons in which the school posted the third- and seventh-best rushing totals (17 in 2016; 11 in 2014).

His 4,760 career all-purpose yards and 136.0 average per game rank second and eighth, respectively, in school history, and he had the school’s fourth and eighth greatest seasons in that span. He owns three of the top ten longest rushing plays in school history, including the school record of 91 yards from his brief junior season. His 240 points in his career rank him fourth all-time and second among non-kickers.

Jones appeared in a total of 12 games as a sophomore. He had a solid start to the 2014 season, putting in three strong performances. In the season opener, against New Mexico, he rushed for 237 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, leading to the win. During the following game, a loss to Texas Tech, he had 144 rushing yards and scored two rushing touchdowns on the ground.

One week later, against New Mexico State, he rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the win. Against North Texas on November 15, he gained 177 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, helping the team to a victory. He gained 147 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown against Middle Tennessee State on November 29, and he also had a 72-yard touchdown reception in the win over the Mountaineers on November 30.

As a result of his efforts in the 2014 season, he finished with 1,321 rushing yards (tied for fourth-most in school history), 11 rushing touchdowns, 30 receptions for 293 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns (tied for third-most in school history). Jones was a member of the UTEP Miners football team from 2013 to 2016, when he competed under head coach Sean Kugler in collegiate football.

Jones appeared in nine games during his first season. The New Mexico Lobos defeated him in his collegiate debut, and he finished with 11 carries for 127 yards and two rushing touchdowns. On October 26, he rushed for 186 yards against Rice, which was a season-high for him. Over the course of the season, he racked up 811 yards on the ground and four touchdowns on the ground, as well as four receptions for 14 yards.

Jones carried the ball 23 times for 116 yards and a score in the Packers’ 21–16 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2 of the season. Jones carried the ball 10 times for 19 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ 27–16 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 3 of the season. Jones finished with 107 running yards, 75 receiving yards, and four touchdowns in the Packers’ 34–24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. He was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in that game.

Jones ended with 13 carries for 67 rushing yards, seven catches for 159 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns in the Packers’ 31–24 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 8 of the NFL season. As a result of his effort, he has been voted the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Jones carried 13 times for 93 yards and three touchdowns in the 24–16 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 10 of the NFL season.

Jones carried the ball 16 times for 134 yards and a score in the 20–15 victory over the Washington Redskins in Week 14 of the NFL season. Jones scored a 56-yard touchdown run during a rematch with the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in Week 16 to highlight a big play. As a result of his 23 rushes, he finished with a total of 154 running yards and two touchdowns as the Packers defeated the Browns 23–10.

Jones ran 25 times for 100 yards and grabbed two catches for 43 yards in a 23–20 victory over the Detroit Lions in Week 17 of the regular season. During the game, Jones played a career-high 75 snaps and reached 1,000 running yards for the first time in his career. Jones concluded the 2019 season with 1,084 running yards and 16 rushing touchdowns on 285 carries, in addition to 49 receptions for 474 receiving yards and three receiving scores on his 49 grabs.

After being sacked twice by the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, Jones carried 21 times for 62 yards and two scores in a 28–23 win over them. While playing in the NFC Championship Game against the San Francisco 49ers, Jones carried 12 times for 56 yards and a score, as well as catching 5 catches for 27 yards and another touchdown in the 37–20 defeat.

Aaron LaRae Jones (born December 2, 1994) is a running back for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana (NFL). He went to UTEP for his college football career and was selected by the Packers in the fifth round of the NFL Draft in 2017.

Jones appeared in a total of 12 games as a senior. In his first game back from the ankle injury, he rushed for 249 yards and two touchdowns in a win over New Mexico State, which was then the third-most rushing yards and touchdowns in school history. In a loss to Old Dominion on October 29, he threw a three-yard passing score as a part of the offense.

He gained 228 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns in the following game, which was against Houston Baptist. He followed that up with 229 rushing yards and two more rushing touchdowns in a loss to Florida Atlantic. A win over North Texas served as his final college game, and he finished second in the school’s all-time rushing yardage list, trailing only the legendary Fred Wendt’s 326 yards against the same opponent in 1948. As a whole, he had eight carries for more than 40 yards and ended up with 1,773 rushing yards and 17 rushing touchdowns in his last collegiate season. He also had 28 receptions for 233 receiving yards and three receiving scores, and one passing touchdown to round off his career.

A limited participant at Wednesday’s walk-through practice, according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, Jones was reported as having a knee injury. Jones’ restricted playing time to begin Week 15 is most likely due to a sprained MCL in his right knee that he suffered against the Seahawks in Week 10.

Following his injury, he was limited to just one game, and in his two games since then, he has amassed 18 touches for 88 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. AJ Dillon, a fellow running back, saw significantly more action over the course of the two games, accumulating 161 total yards and one receiving touchdown on 40 touches. Jones, assuming he’s able to continue playing through the injury, may be forced to sit out Sunday’s game in Baltimore in order to get closer to 100 percent.

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Jones (knee) was not present at the media-access portion of the team’s practice on Thursday. Jones’ health appears to be under control for the time being, despite the fact that he was categorized as limited on Wednesday’s projected injury report. If he is finally unable to participate on Thursday, he will only have one more opportunity to participate in actual practice before the end of the week.

Having returned from the bye week, Jones looked like his normal powerful self after battling in his return from injury in Week 12. Running back AJ Dillon had the majority of the rushing attempts, out-touching his teammate by a margin of 15 to eight on 15 carries for 71 yards. In the past, Jones’ proclivity for finding the end zone has provided his fantasy managers with a stronger fantasy line. However, head coach Matt LaFleur is dedicated to a genuine timeshare between the two great running backs, which has placed a tiny damper on Jones’ previously-elite fantasy value. He’s such a weapon when he’s healthy that even in his current, more limited role, he has the potential to be a must-start contributor.
