Justin Drew Bieber , a Canadian singer, was born on March 1, 1994. He was found by Scooter Braun, an American record entrepreneur, and signed with RBMG Records in 2008, quickly establishing himself as a teen idol with the release of his debut seven-track EP My World (2009).With his adolescent pop-driven debut studio album, My World 2.0 (2010), Bieber became the youngest solo male act to top the US Billboard 200 list in 47 years.
The album also featured the worldwide successful track “Baby,” which went on to become one of the highest certified singles in the United States of all time. His second studio album, Under the Mistletoe (2011), debuted at number one in the US, making him the first male artist to do so.
Believe (2012), his third studio album, saw him branch out into dance-pop territory. At the age of 18, Bieber became the first and youngest artist in history to achieve five consecutive US number-one albums. Following the release of Believe, Bieber was embroiled in a slew of disputes and legal troubles between 2013 and 2014, all of which harmed his public image.
In 2015, Justin Bieber released his fourth studio album, Purpose. It was preceded by “Where Are Ü Now,” a collaboration with Jack Ü in which Bieber experimented with electronic dance music and won the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording. Purpose was a multi-genre project that resulted in three number-one songs in the United States: “Love Yourself,” “Sorry,” and “What Do You Mean?” He became the first artist in history to have three songs in the UK Singles Chart’s top three positions.
Between 2016 and 2017, Bieber worked on a variety of projects, including DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One,” which went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. He claimed his first chart-topper a week later with his remix of “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. It matched for the most weeks at the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 at the time, and it made Bieber the first artist in history to chart new number-one songs in back-to-back weeks.
He earned his first Latin Grammy Award for “Despacito” in the category of Best Urban Fusion/Performance. On the Greatest of All Time Hot Latin Songs Chart, Billboard rated “Despacito” at number one. He earned the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for his country duet with Dan + Shay, “10,000 Hours,” in 2019.
Changes, Bieber’s R&B-driven fifth studio album, arrived at number one in the UK and the US in 2020. “Stuck with U,” his duet with Ariana Grande, debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. On his sixth studio album, Justice (2021), Bieber returned to his pop roots, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, making him the youngest solo artist in history to achieve eight US number-one albums, a record held by Elvis Presley since 1965.
It was a commercial triumph after producing the number-one single “Peaches.” Bieber’s eighth number-one single in the United States was “Stay,” a collaboration with Kid Laroi, released in July 2021. Bieber is one of the best-selling musicians of all time, with over 150 million albums sold globally. For the songs “Baby,” “Sorry,” and “Despacito,” he received three RIAA Diamond certifications.
Two Grammy Awards, one Latin Grammy Award, two Brit Awards, one Bambi Award, 21 Billboard Music Awards, 18 American Music Awards, a record 21 MTV Europe Music Awards (the most wins for any artist in history), six MTV Video Music Awards, 23 Teen Choice Awards (the most wins for a male individual), and 32 Guinness World Records have all been bestowed upon him.

Bieber shares three younger half-siblings with his father, Jeremy. Jeremy and his ex-wife, Erin Wagner, have two children, Jazmyn and Jaxon, whom he divorced in 2014 after seven years of marriage. In February 2018, Jeremy married Chelsey, and the couple has a daughter named Bay. Bieber’s stepmother’s daughter, Allie, is his stepsister. Pattie worked a number of low-paying office jobs while raising Bieber alone in low-income housing. Bieber and his father have remained in touch.

Bieber’s popularity on the site increased as she continued to upload videos of him singing covers of other R&B songs.
During the tourism season of the same year, Bieber busked in front of the Avon Theatre stairs with a rented guitar. Bieber surprised fans with the release of Freedom, a six-song gospel-inspired EP, on Easter 2021. Justice became Bieber’s first full-length album to spend more than one week at the top of the Billboard 200 list in over a decade on April 11, 2021.
Bieber was featured alongside 21 Savage on DJ Khaled’s “Let It Go” on May 10, 2021. In addition, he appeared in the music video that accompanied the song. He’s also on Migos’ fourth studio album Culture III’s track “What You See.” “Stay,” a duet between Bieber and Kid Laroi, was released on July 9, 2021. It was praised for being a “hyper-slick” hybridization of new wave and pop-punk.
The song started at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, climbing to number one in its fourth week, marking his eighth top-one single in the United States. In addition, “Stay” was his 100th chart appearance. As a result, at the age of 27, he broke Drake’s record of becoming the youngest solo artist to have 100 songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song spent an unprecedented 11 weeks at the top of the Billboard Global 200 chart and a record-tying nine weeks at the top of the Billboard Global 200 Excl. US chart. It was his eighth number-one hit on the Billboard Pop Songs list, tying Bruno Mars for the most among male soloists.
“Stay” became the first song by a male foreign singer to receive a Perfect All-Kill in South Korea on September 4, 2021, and the first by a foreign act in general since 2014. On July 24, 2021, Bieber performed at the SoFi Stadium as part of 1DayLA’s COVID-19 service event as the headline performer for the “Freedom Experience” show.
Bieber released a remix of Nigerian singer Wizkid’s song “Essence” on August 13, 2021, which was his debut afrobeats single. The song rose to number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 as a result of this. He followed that up with “Don’t Go,” a collaboration with Skrillex and Don Toliver.

Justice’s sixth single, “Ghost,” reached number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 the following week, marking his 26th career top-ten success on the chart. Bieber’s music is mostly pop, however he has a few rock songs as well. According to Rolling Stone’s Jody Rosen, his music “offers a delicate introduction to the secrets and heartaches of adolescence: songs flushed with romance but noticeably absent of sex itself” in 2010.
His musical style was known for being more teen pop and “bubblegum-ish” in the early years of his career. Bieber told V magazine in January 2012 that he doesn’t want to sing about sex, drugs, or profanity in his music. In his words: “I want to take my time with it. I’m not ready to sing about sex, drugs, or swearing.
I’m into love, and I’m thinking that as I get older, I’ll be more interested in making love. However, I aspire to be a person who is well-liked by all.” However, Bieber’s talent has evolved since then, with E! Online’s Peter Gicas calling “PYD” as “sexed-up,” and In Touch Weekly magazine claiming that his song “Lolly” featuring Maejor Ali and Juicy J would make his fans uncomfortable due to its lyrics about oral sex. In 2015, Bieber released Purpose, an EDM-fueled album on which he collaborated with Skrillex and dealt with more serious “life experiences” issues through “feel-good music.”
