Kim Fields is an American actress, producer and director of television. As a child artist she entered the field of acting and television advertising. She talks in the book about her personal and professional travel over the last four decades. Twice, Kim Fields married. In 1995, she married Jonathan Freeman, a film producer. In 2001, the couple were divorced. They have no children. They have no children.

On 23 July 2007, Kim married actor Cristopher Morgan. Sebastian Alexander Morgan, their first son, was born in 2007 and Quincy Morgan was born in 2013. She is currently 49 years old and active in her career. The casting director in ‘The Facts of Life’ wanted to find a Caucasian girl to fulfil the role Kim played.
