In the late 1990s, he started rapping as Swishahouse. He parted ways with Swishahouse on good terms and founded his own independent label, Boss Hogg Outlawz, after learning how much money he could make distributing his own mixtapes.

Thomas worked in real estate after buying two record stores. Slim Thug’s major first album, Already Platinum, was released in July 2005 following numerous delays with Star Trak Entertainment and Interscope Records. In its first week, it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling 130,000 copies. “3 Kings” (with T.I. and Bun B) and “I Ain’t Heard of That” (containing T.I. and Bun B) were among the singles released (featuring Pharrell and Bun B). Slim Thug guested on Mike Jones and Paul Wall’s Still Tippin’, as well as Beyoncé Knowles’ #1 hit “Check on It” and Gwen Stefani’s “Luxurious.”

Slim Thug recorded three albums with the Boss Hogg Outlawz: Boyz N Blue (2004), Serve & Collect (2007), and Back by Blockular Demand: Serve & Collect II (all with the Boss Hogg Outlawz) (2008). In 2008, he parted ways with Star Trak Records and Interscope Records. Boss of All Bosses was Slim Thug’s second solo album, released in 2009. Boss of All Bosses debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200, selling 32,000 copies in its first week of release, despite not being as popular as his debut album.

The single “I Run” was part of it. The Tha Thug Show is Slim Thug’s third studio album. “Gangsta,” a collaboration with Z-Ro, was his debut hit. He released a new EP called Welcome to Texas EP on April 23, 2013, which featured Rick Ross, Pimp C, and Ludacris, among others.

Slim Thug announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19 when he released his album Thug Life in March 2020.Lupe Fiasco’s video for “Hip Hop Saved My Life” was inspired by Slim Thug’s life narrative, according to MTV News. Fiasco explained, “It’s based on Slim Thug.” “It’s hard to find a successful black man], therefore Black women have to bend down and let it be known that they gotta start working hard; they gotta start cooking and being down for their man more,” Slim Thug said on June 7, 2010, according to Vibe. “White women treat their man like a king.”

Bloggers and internet critics had a wide range of views to the piece. Marc Lamont Hill, a cultural critic and Columbia University professor, has replied publicly to his remarks, as have singers Aubrey O’Day, D. Woods, and rapper Talib Kweli. The MTV Video Music Awards (also known as the VMAs) are an award show hosted by MTV that honours the best in the music video medium. The annual MTV Video Music Awards ceremony has been dubbed the “Super Bowl for youth” because of its propensity to attract millions of young people each year, ranging from teenagers to twenty-somethings. By 2001, the VMA had established itself as a prestigious honour.

are awarded a statue of an astronaut on the moon, which was dubbed a “moonman” because it was one of the first representations of MTV. However, MTV’s president, Chris McCarthy, indicated in 2017 that the monument would now be referred to as a “Moon Person.” Based on the 1981 “Top of the Hour” animation made by Fred Seibert, produced by Alan Goodman, and produced by Buzz Potamkin at Buzzco Associates, the statue was conceptualised by Manhattan Design, who also designed the initial MTV logo. Society Awards, a New York-based company, is presently producing the statue.

Viewers can vote for their favourite videos in all general categories on MTV’s website since the 2006 ceremony.Since 2014, the annual VMA ceremony has been carried live on MTV, as well as a “roadblock” simulcast across MTV’s sibling networks, to maximise the program’s viewership. Radio City Music Hall in New York City hosted the first VMA event in 1984. Typically, the ceremonies are conducted in New York City or Los Angeles. The ceremonies, on the other hand, have taken place in Miami and Las Vegas. For the first time, the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards were held in Newark on August 26, 2019.

According to the Washington Post and the Huffington Post, the ceremony’s significance had waned by 2019.] According to HuffPost, there is a lack of interest (declining attendance and viewership: in 2019, ratings hit an all-time low for the third year in a row), musical diversity, lack of notoriety, lack of credibility, and online access to music.

“The moment the VMAs ceased to signify might have happened in 2014, when Drake didn’t bother showing up to accept his prize,” according to the Washington Post. Maybe it was even before that: in 2006, the Associated Press compared the VMAs’ excitement to the contrived reality show Cribs.”

Outside of the VMAs, MTV has been chastised for allocating the majority of its airtime to reality series and dramas, with music videos airing mostly in off-peak graveyard hours to meet the network’s carriage agreements’ minimal quantity of music programming. Slim Thug, a rapper from Houston, Texas, has released a discography. Slim Thug’s debut album has already gone platinum in the United States. Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo’s Star Trak label published the album on July 12, 2005.

The album was supposed to be released in February 2005, but due to rampant bootlegging and multiple delays, it was delayed and a large portion of the original tracklist had to be altered. The song “I Ain’t Heard of That,” which featured Jay-Z, was included in the original track listing.

The rapper said in an interview with XXL that the album title does not imply that he will go platinum, but that his lifestyle (before to getting a record deal) was already akin to that of platinum-selling artists. Mentor Pharrell claimed that he was a millionaire before meeting Tyra Banks in an interview on The Tyra Banks Show, which he found very appealing. He went on to remark that he was “already platinum,” and that the album’s title was simply a confirmation of that.

With 130,000 copies sold in its first week, the album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart. Over 500,000 copies of the record have been sold since then.Slim has a “solid, linebacker-strong flow and [a] baritone” throughout the album, according to Entertainment Weekly writer Michael Endelman, but the Neptunes are responsible for providing him with “spacious and stark beats that are equal parts frightening and funky.”

“Slim [Thugconfident, ]’s laid-back deliveries keep him from being overshadowed,” said to Steve Jones of USA Today. Big names like T.I. and Jazze Pha didn’t detract from the primary performer, according to Steve Jones of USA Today. Slim’s contribution to the Neptunes’ atmospheric production is “some of their most experimental work yet,” according to Chris Ryan of Spin.

Most of the Neptunes’ compositions, according to Tom Breihan of Pitchfork, “lost the dazzling, clattering swagger they previously had, focusing instead on bloodless synth lines and itchy, nattering percussion,” and Slim’s performance suffered as a result. “On tunes like these, Slim sounds prehistoric, like he’s always lived, like this voice has been reverberating over canyons and through tunnels since before time began,” he said. Slim Thug from Houston, Texas, has released his second solo studio album, Boss of All Bosses.

His Boss Hogg Outlawz label published it on March 24, 2009, and E1 Music distributed it. Mannie Fresh, Z-Ro, Mike Jones, Scarface, and UGK make guest appearances on the album, which was mostly produced by Mr. Lee in collaboration with a number of producers, including Jim Jonsin, Mr. Rogers, and Bigg Tyme.

The album received mostly positive reviews from critics and newspapers when it was first released. In its first week, Boss of All Bosses opened at number 15 on the Billboard 200, selling 32,000 copies. On November 11, 2008, the first single from the album, “I Run,” was released. Jim Jonsin produced the song, which features guest vocals from Yelawolf, an American hip hop recording artist. The chorus of this song was based on A Flock of Seagulls’ song “I Ran (So Far Away),” but with modified lyrics (“I run the streets all night and day”).On November 17, 2009, “Thug,” the album’s second single, was released. Mr. Lee worked on the song’s production.
